My name is Paul Merifield and I am the founder of Merifield Carpentry & Construction we are a family run carpentry and construction company.

I have over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. After leaving school I became an apprentice and attended college within two years passed my NVQ levels 1 & 2 in carpentry and joinery. I decided to stay on and complete my NVQ level 3.

I was working for a design and build company in London as a Site Manager running the sites but after two years I was promoted to Contracts Manager which was overseeing the all of the projects and managing the budgets, schedules and site managers.

Upon moving to East Sussex I decided to put all of that knowledge and experience into forming my own company.

I have been very lucky with my career and have gained some very valuable experience over the years.

I started off as an apprentice for a carpenter in my local area. Most of our work was around the affluent area of Wimbledon village working to extend and update properties to a very high standard.

Since qualifying as a carpenter I have worked on all manner of projects from huge residential sites, commercial buildings to small residential properties building extensions and loft conversions right down to simply hanging a door.

I also spent two years working for an exhibition company building the stands in a workshop then installing them in exhibition halls around the world.

I am a very lucky man to have such a loving and supportive family. My wife and three boys have been an amazing inspiration to me and kept my dream to start my own company alive and now become a reality.

My wife is the driving force behind me and pushes me to be as successful as I can be and also helps out with the business. I hope to one day pass my business down to my three sons and they carry the company onto newer and exciting projects.

Merifield Carpentry & Construction are based in Battle, East Sussex. We offer a wide range of skills from new build houses, extensions, loft conversions right down to fitting skirting or simply hanging a door.

We undertake all sizes of projects and carpentry work.

We offer a free quotation service and can price from architectural drawings. For the larger projects I will prepare a schedule of works and a timeline.

All our contractors are fully registered and insured.
